Thank you for organising a wonderful walking holiday along the South West Coast Path for us. We came back two weeks ago and I still have all the pictures in my mind every day.
Walking from Bude to St. Ives we both enjoyed the landscape as well as the accomodation you booked for us.
We particularly liked the following places:
Coombe Barton Inn, Crackington Haven
Bosayne House, Tintagel (very friendly)
Old School House, Port Isaac
Simply Padstow, Padstow,
Penlan, Porthcothan (Mary and Tim are such lovely people!)
Cliff House, Portreath (very friendly; we had a nice dinner at the )
Mad Hatter, Hayle (a bit noisy at the road, but how friendly was she!)
The Rookery, St. Ives (we had room no 5 and were overwhelmed with the view over the harbour. Also the location was just perfect, so close to the beach, the station and to town).
Also, we much appreciated your great tips for restaurants. We realised it's necessary to book at weekends, which we did for the second and third weekend. We ate particularly well at: The Old Schoolhouse, Port Isaac; Rick Stein's at Padstow; Bush Pepper in Newquay; Portreath Arms hotel (although it took a bit long); Porthminster Kitchen, St. Andrews Bistro and the Cellar Bistro in St. Ives.
Maybe in Porthcothan, the Berryfields is worth mentioning. Although not open in the evening, we had a lovely lunch there.
We were very happy with the luggage service: it worked perfectly an it was so nice to have the luggage sometimes even waiting in the room when arriving after a long day of walking. Weatherwise we were very lucky too: 1h of rain during the two weeks - definitely less than we expected.
I'm glad we didn't plan for even longer walks. The average 18 kilometers usually kept us busy all day (with all the breaks and pictures) and were just right.
I'm sure this wasn't my last coast walk in the southwest of England.
Thanks again for organising everything to work so smoothely.
(Bude to St ives July 2016)
we have just returned from our Cornwall holiday and want to say a big thank you for the great organisation. Everything went smoothly and it was fun to arrive at new places with our suitcases waiting for us. We were very lucky weatherwise with only two little showers during our walking week: while we were having our lunch safely inside anyway.
The walk was wonderful and we enjoyed the gorgeous countryside. Thanks again!

August 2013 Padstow to St Ives
back in Austria we would like to thank you very much for the brilliant organization of our trip. The accommodations were all very nice, everything, including luggage transport, worked very well and we had a really good time on the path. Even the weather was mostly dry, sometimes even sunny. But also the stormy days were nice for us since we found the waves in stormy conditions very exciting.
Thank you very much! We will recommend to our friends to contact you, when they are planning holidays in England.
Kind regards from Salzburg
