North Devon

Instow to Appledore: April to October 2 hours either side of high tide, this ferry cuts off the walk through Bideford. Do check their website for operating timetable http://www.appledoreinstowferry.com/timetable-fares.html

Cornwall

Padstow to Rock: Year round summer timetable 08:00 to 18:30 see Padstow Harbour website for full timetable details.

Newquay to Crantock: End of May to mid September 10:00 to 18:00 this ferry runs approx. 3 hours either side of high tide, at other times it is possible to walk across the River Gannel. The Ferry runs from the Fern Pit Café on the Newquay side see the website for full details.

Gillan Creek: 1st April to 31st October. This creek be forded on stepping stones 1 hour either side of low water, however when the stones are covered there is sometimes an on demand ferry service, look out for a sign.

Helford River: 1st April to 31st October 09:30 to 17:00. This is an on demand service run by Helford River Boats from the Helford Passage side. Daily updates regards the ferry are given on their facebook page.

Falmouth to St Mawes: Year round, 08:45 to 17:15. This ferry operates every 20 mins in peak summer reducing to every 30 mins outside July and August and then to every hour during the winter. Service can be disrupted by bad weather and very low tides see Fal River website for running status. If the ferry is not running the best alternative is a water taxi try Mark at St Mawes Water Taxi or Falmouth Water Taxi. The other alternative is an hour taxi ride try Falmouth Taxis 01326 212141

St Mawes to Place: 1st April to 1st November, 09:00 to 17:30. This ferry operates every 30 mins. Service can be disrupted by low tides and bad weather see Fal River website for running status

Fowey to Polruan: Year round, 09:00 to 23:00 (1st May to 30th September) and 09:00 to 21:00 (1st October to 30th April). For full timetable see Polruan Ferry website.

Mount Edgcumbe to Plymouth: (Cremyll Ferry) Year round 09:00 to 18:30, for full timetable see Cremyll Ferry website.

South Devon

Plymouth to Mount Batten: Year round 08:45 to 23:00 (end April to first week of October) 08:45 to 18:15 (rest of the year) see Mount Batten Ferry website for full timetable.

River Yealm Ferry: 1st April to late September, 7 days a week 10:00 to 16:00 during school holidays, other times 10:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 16:00. Ring Bill Gregor 07817 132757 for more information

River Erme: There is no ferry service, this river can be crossed with care 1 hour either side of low water. Might be impassable if a strong southerly wind is blowing.
